Maha Haj is a Palestinian writer and director born in Nazareth (1970). Her acclaimed film Personal Affairs screened at the Ciné-Palestine Toulouse Occitanie Festival in France. She won the Un Certain Regard – Screenplay Prize at the Cannes Film Festival (2022) for Mediterranean Fever, among several other international distinctions.
