About the Film
The film tells the story of Iman, a young Egyptian woman with dwarfism who dreams of love and marriage like everyone else. Facing prejudice and social barriers, she turns to the internet, where she can express herself freely. Meanwhile, she struggles to help her sister complete her marriage amid social and class tensions that test both their resilience and solidarity.

Taghrid Abouelhassan is an Egyptian writer and director committed to telling stories centered on strong female characters. She studied filmmaking as a Fulbright Scholar in the United States and the United Kingdom. Her short film Mercy Table, part of the anthology Chronicles of Her (2020), won 21 international awards and 14 nominations. Snow White premiered at the Cairo International Film Festival, where it won two awards.
