About the Film
Ali, a political activist in a state that forbids independent thought, is imprisoned in a secret detention center run by government agents. When the regime seeks to break him, they bring his wife Sahar into the same cell. Amid oppression, the couple creates tender moments that reveal the resilience of an entire people.

Kuhel Khalid (born 1983, Baghdad) holds a master’s degree in Theatre Directing from the University of Essex (UK). His theatre background shaped his mastery of composition and performance. Alongside his work as assistant and co-director, he directed the feature documentary co.uk (2012) and the short films The Morning and Sahar.
