Leïla Shahid, who has devoted her life to telling the story of Palestine, retraces the memories passed down by her mother Sirine Husseini Shahid, author of Memories of Jerusalem. Through rich archival footage, the film interweaves the tale of a distinguished family deeply tied to the Palestinian national movement with that of an entire people over a century.

Serge Le Péron Taught for many years at Paris VIII University and was a critic for Cahiers du Cinéma. He directed numerous television documentaries and several feature films, including I Saw Ben Barka Get Killed (2005). In 1976, he was one of the co-directors of the film L’Olivier. Since those years, he has maintained a close friendship with Leïla Shahid.
