Karim Sayad
Algeria
He is an Algerian-Swiss filmmaker. He holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva.
His first short documentary, Babor Casanova (2015), won awards at Doclisboa, Festival dei Popoli, and the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival. His debut feature-length documentary, Of Sheep and Men (2017), premiered at TIFF Docs and won the Solothurn Prize in 2018 in Switzerland. My English Cousin (2019) also premiered at TIFF Docs, and his most recent film, 2G (2023), was presented at IDFA.
