Mounia Akl is a Lebanese director and writer living between Beirut and New York. She holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from ALBA University and an MFA in film directing from Columbia University. She also studied directing and screenwriting at Columbia University and NHSI Chicago. In 2015, she co-founded Pictures Wave Breaking with seven directors of diverse nationalities.
